Meta has announced the launch of new options for Facebook and Instagram users. On both platforms, all videos are being converted to Reals format. Account holders will be able to create, edit and publish vertical videos of up to 15 minutes in length. The service is similar to TikTok.
Reals tools will appear on the platforms within a few weeks. Personal videos will be located in a separate tab on the interface. Public mini-movies, up to 3 minutes long, will be installed in the recommendation feed.
Facebook and Instagram users will be able to shoot and edit short videos (up to 15 minutes). Videos can be accompanied by a music track from your personal audio library or you can create an original soundtrack. If the account is public, mini-films are available to all members of the platforms.
When working in Instagram, the creation option is in the camera app. Clips are shot either by the app or by downloading video from a memory card.
If you need to find the right audio quickly, the Audio option is better. The function facilitates searching for files in the audio library and helps you record sounds. Users who are the first to share a video get the credit. For other people to create mini-movies with your music, you need to make the account public.
New options:
Users can share videos with other people. For example, there is an option with an invitation to “Add your own”. In this case, a person is invited to publish a mini-movie on a specific topic.
Updating content on platforms every day allows you to join in with other users. Remixes are people’s reactions to interesting photos and videos. They work with your own posts as well as other people’s images. Incidentally, there’s an option that shows your video after the original mini-movie.
New remix layouts consist of a green box divided vertically or horizontally. The service has templates to help create Reals from another blank. The user only needs to add his own clip.
The developers have introduced virtual elements that allow subscribers to support their favourite blogger Reals. Mobile features are available for star users and help them track revenues.
New options have been added to Creator Studio as well. Content creators will now be able to see mini-film ratings and audience reaction. Coverage metrics and average viewing period will become available.
Revenue is starting to decline in Meta, so the company is betting on Reals. People are spending 30% more time on vertical video than last quarter. It’s a potential source of revenue that the corporation won’t miss.
